Firstly, all images must be uploaded into the control panel:
- From the drop down ‘Welcome’ menu, choose ‘Control Panel’
- On the left hand side, under ‘Content’, click on ‘Image Gallery’
- Add images to an existing folder by clicking on that folder, or add a new folder by clicking ‘Add Folder’.
- Inside the folder, click ‘Add Image’
- Follow the prompts to upload images (multiple images may be uploaded at once)
- For the image gallery itself, take note of the path to the folder that the images are located in. e.g. Folders > Our Community > Community Venues
Return to the site and navigate to the page that will hold the image gallery
- From the drop down ‘Welcome’ menu, choose ‘Add Portlet’
- Click on ‘Media’ and locate ‘Image Gallery’
- Drag this portlet into position on the site
- Click the ‘…’ option on the top of the portlet and click on ‘Preferences’.
- Select the containing folder by navigating through the expanding menu.
- The path will display automatically in the ‘Image Gallery Folder’ textbox
- The appearance of the gallery can be configured on this page also: background colour is usually #fff (white) and border/highlight colour can be removed completely if desired.
- Remember to click ‘Save’
